Athletics West is excited to announce the 2025 Cross Country Season with six events set to dominate the 2025 Winter Season powered by Coles calendar.Congratulations to former Hamersley athletes Madison Esquivel and Cassiana Papadoulis, who reunited to represent WA in the U20 Women’s 4x400m relay at Nationals last weekend—earning a bronze medal and a PB for the team!
Once teammates in Hamersley colours at Junior State relays, now shining together on the national stage. Cassiana also ran a PB in the 800m, while Madison took on the ultimate challenge of the Heptathlon.
Incredible to see little athletics friendships thriving at the highest level. Well done, girls! 👏Hamersley Winter Cross Country training kicks off Sunday 27th April!
When the summer track winds down, the cross country trails heat up. Join the Hamersley XC Winter Squad for weekly training sessions and get race-ready for the Athletics West Cross Country events held across Perth.
Head Coach Emmett Fenlon is back, delivering tailored sessions for every age and fitness level.
Here’s what you need to know:
🔸 Training every Thursday & Sunday, 4:30–5:30pm
🔸 Starts at Lake Gwelup Reserve, then moves to Monyash Reserve, Carine
🔸 Open to athletes U7 and up
