2023/24 Summer Season:
The athlete and volunteer awards presentation for the 2023/24 Summer season was held on 23rd March 2024. Congratulations to all the winners!
Congratulations to Willow Sloss who broke the WA State record for U10 girls 70m with a time of 10.17s at the State Junior Championships on 10th March 2024!

SEASON’S BEST – recognises the top three boys and girls in every event for every age group across the season.

Consistency Awards:
Trophies are awarded to the male or female who achieved the highest points aggregate across the winter season in each race distance – 1000m (U7-U9); 1500m (U9-U10); 2000m (U11-U12) and 3000m (U13-U17).
Life Member Awards:
Excellency – awarded to the athlete/s who demonstrated the highest achievement over the winter season of cross country competition races.
Coach’s Award – awarded to the athlete who demonstrated significant effort and participation at training and during winter competition races.
Age Group Winners:
1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each age group/gender will be awarded based on the highest accumulation of points achieved from the athletes’ best three (3) performances of each event.
Life Member Awards (Perpetual Trophies):
These are perpetual trophies, dedicated by our Life Members, to reward athletes who have demonstrated a consistently high standard in specific events throughout the season. They are awarded to the athletes with the highest accumulation of points from their best four (4) performances of the target event, over all competition days. U7 athletes are not eligible for Life Member Awards; except for the Junior Champion trophy, Octathlon trophy and O’Connor trophy for Junior Personal Bests. An athlete shall not receive more than one Life Member award; except for the Junior, Intermediate and Senior Champion trophies, Octathlon, Decathlon and Heptathlon trophies, the Graham Fellowship trophy, the Watson Overall Points trophy, and the Dunn Memorial trophy, which is awarded to an U15 athlete for high jump.
Personal Best Awards:
A medal is awarded to the male and female in each age group who achieves the highest number of personal bests throughout the competition season.
Centre Record Certificates:
Centre event records are recognised on all competition days held at Charles Riley Reserve by Hamersley athletes only. Certificates are presented to these high achieving athletes.
Season’s Best:
The top three performers from each age group/gender for each event will be determined from performances achieved throughout the season.
Club Awards:
Champion Club
Clubs progressively accumulate points from each event, in each age/gender group. The “Champion Club” award is determined by the highest accumulation of points throughout the season, using all competition days as ‘award eligible dates’.
Club Consistency
As per champion club except divided by the number of registered athletes. The club with the highest number of points per athlete wins.
Parent Participation
Key Officials and the Hamersley Committee will be asked at the end of the season which Club has most supported the competition.
