This event is organised by Athletics West, it embraces all Centres and consists of Track Relays teams and selected Field Event teams. Teams are selected by Hamersley based on performances. Athletes competing in the Field Relay may not compete in the Track Relay Event and vice versa.

Track Relays
For 2024-25, U9 to U17 track events on offer will be the 4 x 100m and the Swedish relay, which has 100m, 200m, 300m and 400m legs.
Each Centre is eligible to nominate one track Team of five members for each age group/gender for U9 up to U16/17. Athletes are permitted to participate in any running order within a relay, whether during heats or finals. Additionally, substitutions are allowed for athletes within the five nominated relay team members, at the discretion of the team manager.
Teams receive gold, silver and bronze medals for the first three places. Centres compete each year for the girls and boys perpetual shields and points are allocated according to results.
Field Relays
Each Centre is eligible to nominate one team of either two, three or four competitors for Field events. Points gained by the Field Relay Teams will go towards a joint Girls & Boys Trophy. U9 to U17 age groups, including the mixed U17 age group.
Selection Criteria
Uniform
As this is a State event and athletes are representing the Centre, Hamersley Uniform (not club uniform) must be worn, including number bib and age group tag. Athletics West rules for footwear will apply. Please refer to the uniform tab for more information.
