Welcome to Hamersley Athletics Centre
For over 50 years, Hamersley Athletics Centre has been at the heart of our community, inspiring young athletes and fostering a love for athletics. We believe in Family, Fun, and Fitness, providing a supportive and engaging environment where children can develop their skills, build resilience, and enjoy running, jumping and throwing.
Based at Charles Riley Memorial Reserve in North Beach, we offer a comprehensive athletics competition program for children aged 5 to 16, catering to all skill levels, whilst also providing more expansive coaching, training and competition pathways for athletes interested in state and national competitions.
The athletics Summer Season operates from September/October through to March each year, with membership also including the Winter Season Cross Country events, during May to August, predominantly in the Perth metro area.
Little Athletics Program
Tailored for children aged 5 to 16, our Little Athletics program includes a diverse range of track and field events, to develop running, jumping and throwing skills. Each age group event is designed to match the developmental stage, ensuring an engaging and age-appropriate experience.
Senior Athletics
For athletes aged 11 and over, we provide specialised training and pathways to senior competitions through affiliations with Athletics West. This enables participation in the Strive Program, offering weekly competitions at the WA Athletics Stadium during the Summer Season from October to March.
