Each year, Hamersley Athletics Centre wraps up the summer season by recognising our outstanding athletes, volunteers, and community contributors at our End of Season Awards Ceremony.
These awards celebrate more than just podium finishes, they honour improvement, perseverance, teamwork, and the spirit of Little Athletics at Hamersley.
Award Categories
🏅 Age Group Champions
Awarded to the 3 top-performing athletes in each age group, based on points accumulated throughout the summer season.
🏅 Most Age Group Personal Bests
Recognising athletes who have shown significant growth in performance and personal bests across the summer season.
🏅 Life Member Awards for Excellence
Celebrating athletic achievement, personal improvement, and outstanding contribution across all age groups, these prestigious trophies recognise season-best performances in specific events, all-round excellence, sportsmanship, and service to the Centre across the summer season.
🏅 Participation Awards
Participation certificates for competing in every Hamersley Competition over the summer season.
🏅 TIM Championship Awards
Held annually during the summer season, the TIM Championships celebrate individual improvement using the True Inclusion Method—ranking athletes by how much they improve or get closest to their personal bests. Open to U7–U17 athletes, the TIM gives everyone a fair shot, regardless of ability.
🏅 Centre Records
Any athlete who sets a new Hamersley Athletics Centre record will be officially recognised and added to the Centre Records Honour Roll.
🏅 Parent & Volunteer Recognition
Behind every athlete is a network of supportive adults. Each season, we acknowledge parents, officials, and volunteers who go above and beyond.
🏅 Hamersley Club Awards
These perpetual trophies honour the collective spirit of our Clubs, recognising season-long performance, consistency, parent participation, and relay excellence. Awarded to Clubs that lead through points, unity, and volunteer strength across all competition days.
🏅 Winter Cross Country Awards
Awarded to the top performing cross country athletes in each age group for the winter season.
🏅 Athletics West Service Awards
Presented to athletes who have participated in Little Athletics for eight or eleven years—across any Centres. Eight-year awards are recognised at Centre presentations; eleven-year awards are typically presented at the State Championships.
